Farmfestival have announced details of an intimate charity event in a vacated 19th century hardware store in Hackney. The 120 year old wooden surroundings of the newly opened Hackney Hardware will host a 2 part charity bash to launch Farmfestival 2014, on Wednesday 9th + Saturday 12th July.

With the venue keeping their interior purely to the original antique wooden tool storage shelves and cubby holes, the venue seemed a natural choice for Farmfest and it's DIY ethos and eclectic line-up of performers. Acts on the 2 evenings will be secretly picked from the festival's 2014 line-up. With special busking sets from live acts, interactive pop-up performances, and vinyl only djs dropping old time grooves on vintage 2nd hand plastic — filling the eccentric interior until late.

Speaking about the venue, Farmfest organiser Simon Arnoldi said "Upon discovering the venue, on a sunny day back in June, we instantly fell in love with it. A special find, that might only be around until August, so we snapped at the chance to create an event in the space!"

Entry will be by donation to the BSA (British Stammering Association) on the door, no tickets needed. Acts will also be busking for the BSA!

Capacity is very limited in this intimate venue.

Collections will be made on the night, with the venue operating a 'pay what you like' donation on the door, and the performers busking profits also going towards the total!

Thanks to the generosity of the performers to play for the BSA… fuelled by a drink or two from the HH menu, see below!
