Erykah Badu and over 70 other artists announced for Field Day 2018

Returning to its two day format, Field Day 2018 has unveiled over 70 acts for its debut in London’s iconic Brockwell Park, near Brixton this summer on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June. In her only UK performance of 2018, Erykah Badu is set to headline the Friday. Saturday will  see performances from Four Tet (live), Nils Frahm, and Floating Points in The Barn a huge hanger-like construction with state of the art sound and incredible lighting.

Other highlights from today's announcement include Thundercat, the legend that is Charlotte Gainsbourg, BRIT Award nominated Loyle Carner, the incredible Jeff Mills and Tony Allen collaboration.  In addition there will be UK festival exclusives from Cornelius and Fever Ray, plus Princess Nokia, Madlib, Mount Kimbie (live) and Oumou Sangaré

Speaking about the line-up, Field Day co-founder Tom Baker said;

As lots of Londoner’s know moving on can be a wrench but is also just a part of life in this amazing city, and we know there’s so much musical history to build on in our new place. Since Field Day started in 2007, some might say that London has become festival crazy, there is just so much amazing live music to see, but for us, now more than ever, it’s really key to cut above those that ape you. I feel the Field Day 2018 line up is one of the best yet, its fresh and exciting, cutting edge but has some absolute legends and returning Field Day veterans, its 'Field Day’… through and through”

Field Day has an unwavering dedication to showcasing world-class artists from all genres. Its exceptional programming has seen the best in upcoming and iconic artists including Aphex Twin, PJ Harvey, Caribou, Skepta, Patti Smith and Pixies grace the event’s stages in Victoria Park for 11 years.

2018 will mark an exciting new chapter for Field Day as it works with Lambeth Council to bring its much-loved event to Brockwell Park, with the same musical prowess that has made it one of the UK’s leading, and most unique festivals.

Field Day will once again host Village Mentality during the day, with all the fun of the village green, food of the highest quality together with a great selection of beers and ales.
