End of the Road Festival, set to unfold from Thursday 29th August to Sunday 1st September at Larmer Tree Gardens, has unveiled its inaugural line up for this year's edition, promising an eclectic mix of talent across various genres.
Kicking off the festivities is cult favourite Bonnie Prince Billy, headlining the Thursday night Woods Stage for his Larmer Tree debut in an exclusive UK festival appearance. Grammy-winning composer Fever Ray will deliver their kaleidoscopic electronic sounds in a transcendent performance.
Post-punk enthusiasts can anticipate a punchy set from IDLES, while shoegaze aficionados will be enthralled by Slowdive's captivating melodies. Baxter Dury makes a long-awaited return to Larmer Tree after five years.
The line up continues to impress with ground breaking acts like Mercury Prize-nominated Jockstrap, riot grrl legends Sleater-Kinney, and the versatile Ty Segall, performing a solo acoustic set following the release of his latest album, "Three Bells."
Veterans Yo La Tengo bring their prolific discography to the stage, alongside progressive folk songwriters like Lisa O’Neill and Tori Zietsch under the moniker Maple Glider.
The festival introduces intriguing collaborations, including Samantha Morton and pioneering producer Richard Russell's project under the name Sam Morton, blending spoken word with intimate vocals and ambient beats.
Electronic music enthusiasts can groove to John Talabot’s euphoric house beats and Debby Friday's award-winning act. Rising artist Lip Critic injects infectious hip-hop art-punk energy into the mix.
Experimental music lovers are in for a treat with MDOU MOCTAR’s contemporary Saharan blues, Cornelius's innovative Shibuya-kei sounds, and Nustantara's Indonesian folk beats.
Post-punk fans can look forward to Snõõper’s avant synchromatic buzz and Irish band Gurriers, sure to impress after supporting headliners Slowdive.
The festival also embraces country and alt-country with CMAT, Phosphorescent, Julianna Riolino, Kassi Valazza, Jess Williamson, Curtis Hardin, Jalen Ngonda, and MRCY, adding soulful depth to the musical landscape.
End of the Road Festival promises an unforgettable weekend of diverse sounds, captivating performances, and musical exploration amidst the picturesque backdrop of Larmer Tree Gardens.
