Ayr Town Hall will be a kaleidoscope of colour, music and bespoke décor as an outdoor festival is recreated indoors for a night of diverse and alternative entertainment. Eden Festival will be bringing its much loved club night to the people of Ayrshire on Saturday 13th April 2013.

The Eden Festival is Scotland’s premier boutique arts and music festival and Ayr Town Hall’s ‘Taste of Eden’ Club Night will create a tropical carnival in the iconic building, which will be filled with music, dance, colour and culture. The Town Hall will be brought to life with a feast of bands, DJs, cabaret, arts and culture acts and that something special that Eden always brings.

Scotland's most popular ska band Bombskare will headline the night. They are nine piece band who have been tearing up festival stages the length and breadth of the British Isles – frenetic brass instruments along with a four beat promises to get even the most leg weary attendee up and dancing.

Not to be outshone, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon Five promise the Ayrshire audience an irreverent performance with a medley of instrument face painting antics and animal costumes.

Swank & Jams will be travelling up from their native London to add a fiery mix of afro and Balkan beats to this overwhelming eclectic mix.

Can can dancers, hula hoop spinners and burlesque performers will add a huge visual element to this night of fantastic entertainment where fun and audience participation is actively encouraged

Although it attracts an audience from all over the UK, Eden has always enjoyed a loyal following from Ayrshire.

Meredith Langley Vine who is the production manager for the festival commented: “We want to give something back to the people of Ayrshire by staging our ‘Taste of Eden Club Night’ in Ayr Town Hall. It is such an amazing venue and suits the quirky artistic nature of our organisation and followers.”

The “Taste of Eden Club Night” is a regular feature in cities across the UK, organised by Eden Festival it allows people to sample the delights of a festival in an indoor environment.

This will be the first time the club night has come to Ayrshire and it has been jointly organised by South Ayrshire Council and Independent promoter Sid Ambrose.

South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Leisure, Councillor Bill Grant, said: “Ayr Town Hall is a great community hub and it will be really exciting to see the ‘Taste of Eden Club Night’ bring that festival atmosphere indoors. We’re introducing something different for the town and hopefully it will be the start of more of the same, boosting the arts and culture events open to residents and visitors alike. The Taste of Eden Club Night offers something for everyone over the age of 18 and I’m sure it will prove to be a great success.”

Sid Ambrose is best known in the music industry as being the creative genius behind the popular Wickerman Festival. Now ranked as one of the big three festivals in Scotland Wickerman is only eclipsed in size by T in the Park and Rockness. When asked about his involvement with Taste of Eden Club Night and South Ayrshire Council he responded: “It is tremendous to be working in South Ayrshire, l have contact with a number of festivals and well known music organisations who will be happy to work with me and bring a mixture of established acts and emerging talent to the area. I am hoping that the Eden Club Night will be the first of many events. I am most looking forward to the people of Ayrshire getting a taste of the colourful carnival atmosphere that is synonymous with the Eden brand”.
