This weekend’s Eden Festival is a must for anyone who enjoys music, dance and culture wrapped into a stunning location, especially as the weather forecast is looking sooooooo good.  

Taking place near Moffat on the beautiful Raehills meadows, which is just over an hour’s drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh and 40 mins from Carlisle.

The whole aim behind the festival is to provide a 3 day celebration of music, dance, colour, culture and community built on an ecologicaly sound and carbon friendly set of principles and to exhibit live music hand in hand with stunning decorations and surroundings.

Music set across 8 stages including the open air Devorgilla Stage, The Ghillie Dhu Dance Tent and Robbie’s Tavern there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Artists appearing include Electric Swing Circus bringing their unique swing style to the festival all the way from Birmingham, definitely not an act to be missed. 

Returning after last year’s success are Sam and the Womp playing an electric mix of Ska, DnB and dubstep they are sure to be a huge success once again.

Other music acts on the bill include Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer, The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, DJ Smoove and DnB superstar Shy FX ft Stamina MC

Rabbie's Tavern will provide an auld Scottish bar to drink the local hooch with live bands playing celtic, roots, rockabilly and anything else that makes you stomp your foot, hoist yer tankerds and jig aboot! Rabbies Tavern will also have a traditional Scottish ceilidh each night.

There is plenty more the festival has to offer besides the huge array of music, The Ladybird Collective Zone will let you Delve into the magical world of artists, musicians, puppeteers, dancers, performers and festival lovers. The Healing Area offering On-Site Massage, Swedish Massage, Acupressure Massage, Indian Head Massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Hands-On Healing, Theta Readings and Healing, Clairvoyant Readings, Shamanic Massage/Bodywork, Reiki, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Guided Imagery for Self-Healing.

With local traders offering mostly organic, free range, hand prepared produce there will be something for everyone’s taste
