With just two weeks to go until the gates open, V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, have today announced a sensational line up for their Glee Club Comedy Tent.  Eddie Izzard is confirmed to headline with other acts including Jon Richardson, Paul Chowdhry, and Josh Widdicombe also joining the bill.

Josh Widdicombe commented: 'I am hugely excited to play my first V Festival. And I am delighted Beyonce agreed to be on the bill with me, even though I usually try to avoid bumping into my ex's'

Eddie Izzard will be making his debut appearance at V Festival this year. One of the UK’s most outstanding comedians Izzard has also received critical acclaim for films including; Ocean’s Twelve / Thirteen, The Aristocrats and My Super Ex-Girlfriend amongst many others. He has also raised thousands of pounds for charity with his much-publicised marathon running. 

Across the weekend V Festival goers will be treated to the very best in stand-up comedy with other names including Katherine Ryan, Justin Moorhouse, Shappi Khorsandi also performing.  The Glee Club Comedy tent will also feature the very best in upcoming talent including Joel Dommett, Imran Yusuf and Rob Beckett.

With Beyoncé and Kings of Leon set to headline the main music stages and a whole host of other fantastic acts confirmed, this year’s V Festival is shaping up to be the best yet!
