Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Electrics Festival will be their very own very own custom built pub. Taking inspiration from promoter Rob Star’s successful pub Group (The Star of Bethnal Green, Star of Kings and Star by Hackney Downs).
The Star of Eastern Electrics will be the perfect rave pub - choose from pints of ice cold draught lager and cider, freshly prepared cocktails or a glass of fine wine while listening to choice beats from an esteemed selection of DJ's. With intimate sets from rising underground stars such as Waifs & Strays, Santé, Robert James, Darius Syrossian, Simon Baker and a rare disco set from Skream. This is where the party will be at away from the main arenas, and you never know who else might pop in and get behind the decks…
Making every effort to create a unique festival environment, details are emerging of further bespoke sctructures taking shape at Knebworth Park. The main stage will take the form of a giant transformer, designed and built by the team behind Glastonbury’s revered production. Purpose built for Eastern Electrics Festival, it has the capacity for everyone at the festival to enjoy headline acts, and will grow and mutate each year into something even more spectacular.
A second open-air arena built within a rectangle of shipping containers will feature raised dance platforms around the sides offering revelers the chance to dance under the stars and watch the sun come up. The IglooVision Dome will be the smallest arena at 1,000 capacity, but by no means the least. Inside the dome 360 degree projections will create a completely immersive experience.
Further information from the mysterious team of production wizards, know as the Eastern Electricity Board are to follow soon…
EE Co-Founder Rob Star said:
“As soon as it was confirmed we were relocating to Knebworth I immediately started thinking about the pub, I love the atmosphere you get in smaller venues and I made sure that we had a great selection of DJ's, so this space didn't feel like it was the poor relation to the bigger arenas. I'm certain next year people will be requesting to play in here and this is certainly where you'll find me hanging out at the festival!”
