Taking inspiration from Clare's deep musical roots and from the great festivals of the 1970s and 1980s, such as the nearby Lisdoonvarna, the Doolin Folk Festival will present powerful musical performances in the grounds of Hotel Doolin.

Friday (June 12th) will be headlined by Declan O'Rourke and Sharon Shannon, with support acts Fiddlecase & Christy Barry, Moxie and David Hope.

Mick Flannery will headline on Saturday (June 13th) which will also see performances from We Banjo 3, The Lost Brothers, Aldoc, Fiddler's Bid, Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Fiach Moriarty, and Brian O'Leary & Friends.

Stockton's Wing and O'Sahara are top of the bill on Sunday which also features Paddy Keenan & Daoiri Farrell, No Crows, Tóla Custy & Cyril O'Donoghue, Ríona, Anul, and Brendan O'Regan, Demot Byrne & Floriane Blancke.

The total number of acts confirmed for the three-day festival now stands at 40 following the addition of almost 20 up and coming acts from around Ireland.

"For the first time ever, we will have a separate stage featuring some of the best acts from the White Horse Sessions. Kenny’s Bar in Lahinch have been running the White Horse Sessions since 2008, they are a series of gigs set up to provide a platform for original artists and bands to perform to an appreciative listening audience in an intimate candlelit setting. Their aim is to bring original music back to the West by keeping it fresh, original and vital for both listener and performer alike," explained Donal Minihane, festival organiser and Manager of Hotel Doolin.

"We are delighted to welcome the White Horse sessions to the Doolin Folk Festival, the extra stage will bring the number of acts over the weekend to 40," he added.

The Doolin Folk Festival is one of a number of annual festivals established and hosted by Hotel Doolin, including the Doolin Writers Weekend (March), Doolin Harley Fest (May 15th-17th) and the Doolin Craft Beer Festival (August 21st-23rd).

The Doolin Folk Festival is supported by Today FM, The Liffey Banks Sessions and Smithwick's Pale Ale.
