DJ Yoda and Akala have been confirmed in the third wave of acts added to Blissfields line-up. Also now confirmed are the cinematic films being screened at Blissfields, alongside the list of judges for the Blissfields Independent Film Festival, winners of the Road To Blissfields competition, and Comedy and Spoken Word line-ups.

With submissions now open, Blissfields is calling out to all rising film-makers to be part of the Blissfields Independent Film Festival. The event is open to anybody wanting to showcase their work between 5 and 15 minutes long from which a long-list will be screened during the event in the stunning Electric Dreams Cinema before expert judges decide their “Best In Show” while Dark Scream will decide the “Best In Horror Show” for all films with a sinister edge.

The festival has specially curated its mainstream movie screenings to support the “Somewhere In Time” theme, looking out to those films we love which bend the perceptions of time, and question our curious place within it.

This year the billing includes; Big Fish (110mins) PG, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (90min) PG, Flight of the Navigator (90mins) U, Forrest Gump (142mins) 12, Groundhog Day (101 mins) PG, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy 2005 (109mins) PG, Wall-E (93mins) U

Launched in 2013, the Blissfields Independent Film Festival is part of the festivals on-going commitment to support new talent in the arts across the board. As well as film, Blissfields has reached out across the country hosting club-nights to find the best new music as part of its Road To Blissfields competition. The winners of which this year, performing across the weekend are;

Blissfields have also opened up a brand new grant opportunity; inviting anybody with a concept they’d like to premier at the festival a chance to see their creation come to life. There’ll also be new art installations at Blissfields 2015, created by the Hidden Hedge team - adapting the “Somewhere In Time” theme for this year into their biggest, boldest pieces of living, breathing art yet to be seen at the festival.

Finally this year, a new breed of spoken word artists have been added to the line-up, with a select comedy bill, including; Spoken Word: Selby - Danny Pandolfi, Rex Domino, Blizzard, Roya Shadmand, Toby Champion,  Gary Turk, The Many Faces Of Spike
