On Friday Chic, one of the most influential acts of the Disco era, are set to deliver a show stopping performance on the main Summerisle Stage. Led by prolific producer Nile Rodgers, who features on ‘Get Lucky’ the current UK number one single by Daft Punk Single, the disco giants will perform a mix of classics such as 'Everybody Dance', 'I Want Your Love', 'Good Times' and 'Le Freak’ alongside tracks from their new album.

Supremely talented Glasgow based five piece, Admiral Fallow will join them on the bill to deliver what promises to be a rousing set of indie folk pop. Their distinctive acoustic and electric mesh combined with multilayered harmonies has attracted comparisons to Arcade Fire and Frightened Rabbit and brought them critical acclaim.

The Summerisle line up will be further enhanced by electro-dub pioneers Dreadzone who have become firm favourites on the UK Festival Circuit. Formed by members of Big Audio Dynamite, the band are known for their storming live shows and unique blend of electro, dub and reggae. East London trio Waylayers are set to make their mark with their signature atmospheric pop.  Having already been ‘band of the week’ on Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6 Music Show, their fusion of electronica and indie rock is set to pack a powerful punch with festival revellers. Ally McCrae of BBC Introducing fame will return to Wickerman this year to reprise his role as Summerisle Stage compere.

Regarded as one of the most important figures in the UK dance scene, and the man that started the first weekly club night at Manchester's Hacienda, DJ Greg Wilson will make his debut at Wickerman this year as he headlines the Skiddle Tent on Saturday night. Joining him in the Bass Dance Village venue is a Wickerman regular Sonny Wharton, who over the past year has picked up some real recognition across the electronic music scene, with Fatboy Slim describing Sonny as his ‘producer of the year’ and clubland heavyweight Carl Cox championing Sonny's latest release ‘Raindance’ as one of his tunes of the year. Alongside Greg and Sonny is the 2012 saviour of the Skiddle tent Ginny K, block party extraordinaire Kid Blast and Skiddle regulars Western Groove, Matt Hinde, Tim Forrester and James Ryan.

Moving the party into the open air, the Vinyl Frontier Outdoor Stage is back for 2013 with extended opening hours from 2.00 pm until 2.00 am. Funkademia DJs Good for the Soul, Dave Dunne and Kid Blast head things up on the Friday day time with Insomnia DJs Mark Swider, Luke Stanger, Filter Script and Andrew Dent playing into the early hours. Funkademia return on Saturday and will be joined by Sonny Wharton and friends from Beats of Rage who will close the stage on Saturday.

Festival Coordinator Helen Chalmers says: “Chic featuring Niles Rodgers are incredible live performers and who doesn’t love a bit of disco? Add to that Admiral Fallow, Dreadzone, Greg Wilson, Waylayers, some familiar faces in Bass Camp, the acts already announced and those yet to come, the party this year is going to be tremendous.”

The Wickerman Festival 2013 takes place at East Kirkcarswell, Dundrennan, Dumfries and Galloway between Fri 26th to Sun 28th July 2013 Ticekts on sale here.
