“BEST INDEPENDENT FESTIVAL” ANNOUNCES FIRST ARTISTS OF 2013  

DELPHIC, THE OTHER TRIBE, KING CHARLES among first few acts announced for intimate countryside festival.

Named 2012’s “Best Independent Festival” by the Association of Independent Music and shortlisted for “Best Line Up 2012” at the UK Festival Awards, LeeFest will run for three days for the first time this year.

Other artists confirmed this week are Public Service Broadcasting, Man Like Me, Fiction, Stanton Warriors and No Artificial Colours. 

Many more names on the bill will be announced soon, including a host of unsigned artists from around the country. 

The homegrown festival is run by Lee Denny, and a small team of friends. They rebelliously founded the event in his back garden in Bromley, Kent in 2006 whilst his parents were away on holiday. Denny (25) holds strong beliefs in what makes a great festival:

‘We believe the best festival atmospheres are created by energetic young artists, new music, and creative experiences beyond the music! We’re working hard with the LeeFest community to create an incredible programme of exciting, dynamic artists and collectives – we hope you enjoy this small glimpse of the festival’
