Headliner's for  this year's Rugby music festival are Daventry band Dead Frequency, and preceding them on stage will be popular Rugby favourites White Men Can’t Funk. The two bands will complete what is expected to be Rugby’s biggest ever free live music event; this year the festival encompasses 24 acts and will take place over two stages at Whitehall Recreation Ground.

The event organisers have firmed up most of the bookings for the festival and will be making further announcement over the next few weeks. RMF has grown from it’s first outing in 2011 when 6 bands played in Caldecott park to a few hundred bewildered passers-by, to one of the midlands' largest gigs attracting thousands of people.

Dead Frequency play a mixture of high-energy pop/punk and glam-influenced rock. The band cite influences ranging from Green Day to Van Halen with “…a bit of The Darkness thrown in for good measure…”. This will be their first appearance at RMF. White Men Can’t Funk are playing for the third year running and promise that they are “…out to have a good time, everytime.”

RMF is free of charge to enter, no tickets are needed and people can just turn up on the day, though as in previous years a bucket collection and programme sales will take place to support several charities.

Call David on 07720 444084 for artist interviews, organiser comment, hi-res pictures, pre-event photoshoots and press passes on the day (permits backstage access). This is a free event but there will be a charity collection on the day. From the band pages on the website some publicity photographs are available and can be freely used.
