Official statement
It is with regret that we have to announce that Clairefest 2013 will not now be taking place.
It has been a long and hard decision but unfortunately this year we could not raise enough funds, sponsorship or interest in the event in order to be able to put on a show to the standard expected.
Without cutting corners with either the standard of acts or the facilities both of which are fundamental to the festival and what it stands for, it would have been very difficult to continue, plus we could not let anything affect the health and safety of the event.
We did try to maybe downsize and/or relocate the event so that we could still put on a show but inevitably this was not possible either and the committee felt that we have really now run out of time to be able to organise Clairefest properly in 2013.
We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment that this will inevitably cause but it really is out of our hands.
