Radio Festival 2015, organised by The Radio Academy,has announced further highlights from the Festival programme, including exclusive talks and sessions with Christian O’Connell, Annie Mac, Chris Evans and Richard Curtis. Radio Festival 2015 is a three-day event taking place at the British Library in London on Sun 27 – Tues 29 September. Tickets are now on sale.

This year’s Radio Festival Showcase on Tuesday 29 September will see Absolute Radio’s Christian O’Connell give a fascinating talk on Freedom of Speech on the radio, Chris Evans will hold an In Conversation key note speech, there will be a session on Streaming with Annie Mac, and Richard Curtis is set to discuss the brand new concept, Radio Everyone and the power of global radio.

Other names include comedian Lee Ridley, winner of the BBC New Comedy Award, known as Lost Voice Guy. Lee has cerebral palsy and relies on technology to communicate; Spotify’s Will Page, Google’s Peter Barron, Steve Parkinson from Bauer, and Havas Media Labs’ Amy Kean. Radio Festival Showcase is hosted by Paddy O’Connell, the evening will include a drinks reception for the ReelWorld 30 Under 30 – the next generation of radio and audio industry.

Radio Festival 2015 is the biggest forum for discussion and debate in the radio industry. Taking place over three days, the annual event is jam-packed with compelling sessions from an eclectic mix of some of the greatest names in radio and audio, showcasing the diversity of opportunities in the business and giving a voice to the industry in its entirety.

Radio Festival consists of the BBC Music John Peel Lecture (Sun 27 September); Radio Festival TechCon (Mon 28 September), focusing on how innovations in technology are transforming the way we serve our audiences and make content; and Radio Festival Showcase (Tues 29 September), a day packed full of keynote speakers, contributors and polemics from the radio and audio industry and beyond, designed to inspire, celebrate, challenge and inform.

Brian Eno will host this year’s BBC Music John Peel Lecture. The line-up for Radio Festival TechCon will be announced over the coming weeks.
