Stockton Weekender has added Chris Helme, ICHI, The Funk Collective, Holy Moly & The Crackers, The Approved and Leddie and Smoggy to the festivals line up, taking place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July.

The announcement comes as the second phase of ticket prices comes to an end, with prices rising on Sunday 1st June from £30 a day, £45 weekend and £75 camping to £32.50, £50 and £80, respectively.

Stockton Borough residents prices will be sliced by 20%. Festivalgoers just need to provide their postcode when booking to access the offer, and bring proof of their address on the day.

Singer/Songwriter Helme first rose to prominence as the front man of John Squire’s post-Stone Roses outfit The Seahorses; Love is The Law and Blinded By The Sun hit makers extraordinaire. His overwhelming back catalogue is further bolstered by his acclaimed work with The Yards.

Helme pops up on the Thirteen Stage on Saturday 26th July, with New Electric Ride, Lilliput, Weird Shapes, The Purnells, Goy Boy McIlroy and Silver Trees also performing on the stage.


The ever expanding line up, which spans four stages, now includes Happy Mondays, Public Enemy, Shed Seven, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Reverend & The Makers, Peter Hook & The Light, The Amazing Snakeheads, Hyde & Beast, Laurel, Abel Raise the Cain, Avalanche Party, , Smoove & Turrell, Red Kite, Dark Bells, Gallery Circus, PALACE, The Sons of Bido Lito, By Toutatis, The Panoramic, Serinette, The Urban Voodoo Machine, Lee Nelson, The Suggestibles, The Gimme Gimmicks, Henry Priestman, Dinnernanny, Paul Liddell, Little Mirrors, Joe Solo, The Dead Indians, Cellar Door, High Tide 15:47, Kobadelta, Fleckt Pets and The Gares.


Tees Music Alliance’s Paul Burns – the festival director – says: “We’ve put together a fantastic line up – the likes of which has never been gathered before here on Teesside. We’re delighted with it and hope that people will be excited by it and, most importantly, come out to support and enjoy a top notch local event.”


To help increase accessibility TMA have introduced the option to pay in instalments this year. Festivalgoers can reserve their tickets with a £10 deposit (per ticket) and then pay the rest off as they can, as long as it's all paid for by 25th July. This option is only available over the phone or in person and is subject to terms and conditions.


The family friendly event, which offers a children’s activity tent and is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, will once more offer two free Under 14 tickets for every adult ticket purchased, and camping is also available at an additional cost of £30 on top of a Weekend ticket price.


From 1st to 31st May day tickets will be priced Day: £30.00 Weekend: £45. Camping: £75.00. Ticket prices will increase in price from 1st June onwards. Each adult ticket entitles the holder to 2 free Under 14s tickets.
