Want to be a part of one of the biggest arts event to hit Scarborough in 2013?

Organisers of Coastival - A Different View are recruiting volunteers to help stage around 60 events on 16th February.

They want to recruit a team of up to 20 committed, enthusiastic, hard-working and fun loving people to help make the fantastic event a success.

A total of 60 events and attractions (54 of them free) are being lined up, including music icon Boy George playing a DJ set at the Spa, video mapping on the side of the Spa complex, and a whole range of music, entertainment, arts and activities for children and young people.

The volunteers will be involved in front of house activities, including  stewarding, manning the information desk, welcoming visitors, checking tickets, box office, sales and generally making visitors feel welcome.

Create Director Wendy Holroyd said: “This is a great opportunity to be a part of what promises to be an excellent event in Scarborough.

“It is also a chance to gain work experience - ideal for students interested in developing a career in event management or arts administration.

“So if anyone would like to be involved with this major festival, see some fantastic events, meet new people, have fun, gain useful work experience and have a good time whilst working hard we would love to hear from you.”
