Camp Bestival is now only days away and following an incident during a live set earlier this year, Toots and the Maytals were forced to cancel all their forthcoming shows, which unfortunately included Camp Bestival. We want to wish Toots a speedy recovery. Team CB and lots of Camp Bestivalites were, naturally, rather upset by it all but never fear, Rob da Bank searched high and low and we are amazingly excited to announce that roots reggae legend Max Romeo will be coming to Lulworth Castle to step into the void! One of the biggest stars to emerge from Jamaica in the 60s & 70s, Max was a pioneer of the roots sound and his seminal long player War ina Babylon, one of the Black Ark holy trinity albums, became a must-have of the genre. With a back catalogue that includes I Chase The Devil, one of reggae's biggest and most influential hits, One Step Forward, War Ina Babylon, Uptown Babies and Let The Power Fall, we can't wait to hear Max's distinctive vocals and see his high-energy performance!
