The Westport Festival of Music & Food have announced that Bryan Adams, one of the world’s most highly acclaimed musicians, will headline the main stage on Sunday 29th June. Also joining him will be Kool & The Gang bringing a large doses of Funk, Soul, R&B, American Jazz and a bit of Disco.    

Playing at the festival on Saturday the 28th June is The Bootleg Beatles, one of the greatest tribute acts around and making their debut at Westport is The Kilfenora Ceili Band all the way from Kilfenora in Co Clare. 

This resilient group of musicians have managed, many times against the odds, to keep a culture not just alive – but alive and kicking. 2009, in particular, proved to be frenetic, what with an entire festival in their honour in March, the issuing of a new landmark album called Century, and numerous high profile events including their documentary on national television.

The family friendly boutique music festival takes place in the picturesque grounds of Westport House & Adventure Park in Co Mayo between Saturday, 28th & Sunday, 29th June 2014. Additional music acts, comedian, chefs and weekend activities will be announced over the coming months.

Tickets for the two day festival will go on sale on Friday 6th December at 9.30am and will be available here.
