Brownstock Festival have announced that The Futureheads will headline Sunday night, plus they have joined up with The Official Comedy Club, for this years comedy stage.

The Futureheads have produced 5 different albums including their recently released acoustic album “Rant”.  The Futureheads commented that the reason for them creating an acappella album was that, "We just want you to hear us like this, because four-part harmony has been so important in the music we've made since day one.

The BBC reviewed the Futureheads latest album “Rant” as, “an exhilarating stunt album, and one that more than whets the appetite for whatever it is they choose to do next.”  This summer The Futureheads are playing some exclusive events including supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They have also previously supported acts such as The Pixies, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol.

The festival had originally booked a performance from A tribe Called Quest’s (ATCQ’s) Phife Dawg. Sadly he had to pull out due to illness. However the Brownstock Festival Team are excited to announce that he will replaced by ATCQ’s DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad for a UK Festival exclusive performance. 

Brownstock have teamed up with The Official Comedy club for a Sunday performance. . The show will be headlined by Rudi Lickwood. Rudi far more than just a stand-up. Rudi’s recent achievements including earning his status in the ‘Black 100+’ awards for the greatest Black British Achievers, picking up a BECA award for outstanding contribution to comedy, and taking up a high profile request for Rudi to host an exclusive Brit Awards after-show party.

The opening comedian: Geoff Norcott, whose credits include the recent series of 'Live At The Apollo', ‘Stand Up for the Week’,  '8 Out of 10 Cats', ‘Parsons & Naylor’,  ‘The Now Show’ on BBC radio, MTV,  & ITV's 'Comedy Annual 2011'.
