Brooklyn Bowl and AEG Europe, the owner of The O2, have joined forces to bring the Brooklyn based entertainment venue to London on January 16th 2014. Featuring 12 lanes of bowling, three of which are VIP, a 120 cover restaurant - catered by the famous New York based Blue Ribbon Restaurants Group - and a 500 capacity music area, it is set to be one of London's hottest venues of 2014. Yesterday saw the venue’s show-stopping 6 foot wide disco ball fully installed above the lane area, meaning London’s biggest disco ball is in the capital!
The London location will feature over 32,000 sq. ft. of space, in which over 800 guests will be able to listen to live music, Brooklyn Bowl co-founder Charley Ryan said, "We're combining bowling with the best live music, visuals, food and drink. Add elevated service, style and comfort and you get Brooklyn Bowl. If you look at us simply as a music venue, or simply as a bowling venue, you've missed the point.”
Added co-founder Peter Shapiro, “We’re psyched to bring Brooklyn Bowl to London. We could not have picked a better city.”
Said Jay Marciano, COO of AEG Worldwide, "As The O2 evolves, we are constantly looking for ways in which we can advance our model by bringing together high quality entertainment attractions under one roof to create a single point of destination not experienced or seen anywhere else in Europe. The introduction of Brooklyn Bowl is a perfect example of this and we are extremely excited to welcome them.”
