Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park is returning for its 7th year, on Sunday 14 September. Blondie and Chrissie Hynde are the first acts to be announced, further acts will be revealed each morning via Chris Evans BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

Jeff Smith, Head of Music, Radio 2 and 6 Music, said: “Another year and another stellar line-up come together for a day of fantastic music which showcases the range and diversity of music provided by Radio 2 - the nation’s favourite radio station. And what better way to say goodbye to the summer than a music fuelled day out with friends and family?”

Last year saw 40,000 music lovers descend on Hyde Park to see top acts including Smokey Robinson, Jack Johnson, Manic Street Preachers, Jessie J and James Blunt and this year is set to be even bigger and better.

During the week following the event, listeners will be able to watch full sets and performance highlights on the BBC Red Button, BBC iPlayer and the Radio 2 website, which will also feature exclusive backstage footage, acoustic sessions and interviews from the event.

Tickets will be available from 8.15am on Friday 13 June.
