Festival On The Moor start's this Friday 23rd May with a Ceilidh in the grand surroundings of Joan Of Arc Hall, Botton Village. Dancing will be to Blind Panic and spots from Sam Evans Band and Steve Dawes & Helen Pitt.

Jeanette Grainger , Festival Director said ''All the team have been getting stuck in with final preparations for the festival weekend, from baking cakes to putting up the traffic signs .Our team are a happy bunch and many have been with us for ten years or more. Its not all work, theres plenty of time for a laugh. We like to think we're a very friendly festival'

The Festival, founded in 2002, has attracted more advance sales this year than any previous year and promises to be a big hit with locals, as well as those who will be travelling hundreds of miles to hear some of the great acts such as The Wrigley Sisters,John Kirkpatrick, Sarah McQuaid and Richard Grainger. Tickets are still available online or at the festival reception at Botton Steiner School.
