Battfest The Virtual Festival is the brainchild of Sam Batt, an indie singer-songwriter. It began in 2011 when 14 indie acts were streamed live over the internet via Justin TV to a global audience from a beautiful English country garden.

Last year 22 acts over 2 days went out via several video platforms and a network of over 220 radio stations. There was a cast of about 150 people including the acts and the audience and all the crew. They trended on Twitter and reached an estimated online audience of combined listeners and viewers of over a million.

This year they have some AWESOME talent lining up for you and with Tony Moore, Boy George and Mark King from Level 42 as patrons and a much larger, ever-expanding network of TV & radio stations they stand to reach a LOT more people.

This is a truly exciting moment - the tipping point. This is the bridge between independent artists and the public that cuts out the big corporations. Help them build it - spread the word and tune in on August the 9th, 10th and 11th - no wellies required.
