A message from the organisers:
Firstly I would like to thank all the venues in Leeds that offered to house our 22nd birthday at such short notice, I was blown away by the support and how many clubs offered to change their schedules to accommodate us, which proves the unity of Leeds club scene. So thank you! But after careful consideration we've decided the Beaverworks is the perfect space for us. Its totally back to basics, reminiscent of our first club Music Factory with a hint of Stinkey's Peephouse and the Garage.
It has 4 great rooms- each room being totally unique with the main room having a NYC warehouse feel and 2 perfect sheltered smoking areas for copping off. LOL!
As always we will be putting great effort into the decor to create the best atmosphere possible. Basics has always been at its best when we've had space to put different music into each room. If you've never been to Beaverworks check their facebook page its Derrick Carter's favourite venue in Leeds, only 5 mins from town. The fancy dress theme for the night is still punk rock so please make the usual birthday efforts to look the part and express yourself as its been filmed for the Basics movie and t.v.
To all the faithful that have been with us over the years you know this is not the first time that we have had to swap venues at such short notice and will agree when this has happened in the past these parties have been the most exciting and have become the stuff of legend. All the acts that have been announced will be appearing and all tickets are valid and still on sale so don't miss out as this is the last basics party for the near future. So lets make it the best ever. Thank you all for keeping the faith and for all the love and support over the 22 amazing years.
Big loves and hugs, Beero x
