With the festival season soon coming to an end it has reached the time to embark on the last few days of field frivolities, before the sun disappears completely and winter hibernation commences once again. One option for such an occasion is coming out of Bristol at the end of August; the very first year of ArcTanGent, run by the organizers behind 2000trees festival.

And what a line-up for its first year, with a vast array of alternative music, catering for both the discerning muso and the common punter. 65daysofstatic headline the main stage on Friday night with the post-apocalyptic Fuck Buttons following suit on Saturday, but this is just the tip of the iceberg; earthtone9, Bo Ningen, Turbowolf, Future of the Left, And So I Watch You from Afar and Three Trapped Tigers are just a handful of beyond stellar bands playing across the four stages over the weekend.

You can be sure to expect locally sourced, ciders and ales at the various bars around site, and if at all similar to what is available at 2000trees Festival there will be various culinary delights to keep the hunger at bay.

ArcTanGent takes place on Fernhill Farm, Cheddar Road, Compton Martin, Somerset between Thursday 29th and Saturday 31st of August 2013. More information, line up and tickets available here.
