All Tomorrow’s Parties ‘End of Era’ Parts 1&2 – line-up announcement Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Low & Tortoise confirmed to play the final ‘holiday camp’ festivals

Television perform Marquee Moon/Chelsea Light Moving/LOOP/Dinosaur Jr + many more TBCThe final hurrah: 22nd-24th November, 29th-1st December 2013

All Tomorrow’s Parties has announced further line-up details for their final two holiday camp based festivals which will play out under the banner ‘End of an Era’ parts 1 & 2 at Camber Sands this November.

The mighty Mogwai who curated the very first All Tomorrow’s Parties festival at Camber Sands back in 2000 will return for the final hurrah alongside Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Low, Tortoise and many more.

The new additions follow the news that Television will headline End of an Era Part 1 performing their seminal ‘Marquee Moon’ in its entirety with further sets from Chelsea Light Moving and Dinosaur Jr.  The much loved (and sorely missed) LOOP are reforming specially to curate and perform at the final Camber Sands festival (End of an Era Part 2) which will also now feature Mogwai Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai comments:''It’s an incredible honour to be asked to close the final ATP holiday camp festival. We couldn't have imagined when we curated in 13 years ago that the festival would have had the impact that it’s had. Back then festivals were moving further to the mainstream and I think the continued strength of underground music in the UK owes a big debt to the work done by ATP. I think getting to play with Loop, musical heroes of ours will be a fitting way for us to close this event.''

All Tomorrow's Parties End of an Era part 1 will kick-off at Camber Sands from the 22nd - 24th November curated by ATP in partnership with the feted Spanish festival Primavera Sound.

The final festival - End of an Era part 2 will take place from the 29th November - 1st December and to mark the occasion, LOOP – the much loved art rock collective who became Peel Session stalwarts in the late 80s have reformed to headline and curate, alongside ATP.

Weekend 1 running from November 22nd-24th is curated in collaboration with our friends at Primavera Sound.

Today’s announcement makes good on founder Barry Hogan’s promise to bow out in style with ‘a party to end all parties’ at the final two events by featuring some of the best loved acts that have graced the ATP stage over the last fourteen years.
All Tomorrows Parties stress that the move away from holiday camp festivals is not the end of ATP – but a new beginning – allowing the promotion team to focus on their growing schedule of city and international based events in 2014 and beyond.
