All Points East In The Neighbourhood

All Points East have revealed The Neighbourhood weekday programme of free activities in Victoria Park over four days between its All Points East Festival and APE Presents shows. With a focus on community involvement, activities will be run by local organisations and suppliers. It is part of a dedicated drive to provide free content for local residents and the wider community and to support local businesses. The weekday programme take place during half term and on the Bank Holiday making this an ideal destination for families as well as fun loving Londoners.

Offering our event site back to the community to enjoy a diverse range of free content is part of our continued drive to enhance the positive impact of our event. Promoting and celebrating local talent is the very fabric of In The Neighbourhood, with activities being sourced from the outstanding organisations and artists based throughout Tower Hamlets and areas surrounding Victoria Park.”

The festival will have a wide range of activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Each evening there will be live music curated by Global local.  Festival goers will be able to experience a wide range of music from Roma to rumba, Latin beats to Afro funk, new folk to no folk.  Together with the best emerging, culturally diverse musical talent the UK has to offer, with a strong focus on promoting acts based in Tower Hamlets and the surrounding East London areas.

An outdoor cinema will show a mixture of classics, new releases, family favourites and the best in world cinema. Hackney Arts will be providing creative workshops,  with sessions from 3D drawing, henna design, making flower crowns, paper marbling, woodblock printing and more.  There will also be Aerial circus performances, yoga sessions, spoken word, tennis, together with pop up bars and street food. 

There will also be plenty of activities to keep the children amused to including art workshops, storytelling, and football workshops.
