Alfie Boe is the second headline act to perform at next summer’s Alive at Delapre concerts on Sunday 19 July in the historic setting of Delapre.

Britain’s favourite tenor, Alfie’s distinctive voice has helped him conquer the world’s most prestigious opera stages, led the cast of Les Miserables for nearly a year, and stole the show at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace.

Councillor David Mackintosh, Leader of Northampton Borough Council said: “Alfie Boe is the perfect act for a warm summer Sunday evening in Northampton. Our Alive@Delapre concerts continue to attract the best British musicians and performers. Alfie has played in some amazing opera houses and theatres, and I am sure the picturesque setting of in the grounds of Delapre Abbey will be just as special as we welcome him to our town.”

Councillor Brandon Eldred, Northampton Borough Council’s cabinet member for community engagement said: “Every year Alive@Delapre brings some of the biggest and best artists to Northampton. Announcing Alfie Boe as a headline act for July 2015 only adds to our town’s reputation as a venue for live music in the open air.”

Tickets for the event will cost £39.75 (exclusive of booking fee) and will go on sale on Thursday 11 December at 10am from Ticket Master.
