Our love story begins at Bestival 2014. The protagonists, four rambunctious audio gods, were introduced to the wonder of Love Specs by their friend, Oliver Moira. Love Specs rainbow fractals and their chunky heartfelt beats were a match made in heaven.
When Amir, Piers, Kesi and DJ Locksmith heard the story behind the glasses and discovered that 100% of Love Specs proceeds go to Love Support Unite Foundation’s vital community projects in Malawi, that was it. Personalised Rudimental Love Specs appeared within the emporium of their merchandise.
Now Rudimental’s unerring support for our cause has just been taken to an entirely new level. Amir, Kesi and Piers recently starred in an exclusive campaign shot for Love Specs, after childhood friend Maegan Tillock volunteered for the charity at Eastern Electrics festival and brought them still further into the Love Specs fold. Their energy is palpable in these beautiful shots that will help to share with the world exactly what the frames stand for.
With Wild Life Festival being held this weekend in Brighton, Rudimental will be giving away 10,000 pairs of Love Specs during their set. The Rudimental Team will be donating £1 to Love Support Unite for every pair of specs they ordered which will now build an entire school block in Malawi. Enabling Love Support Unite to put an additional 200 children through education.
The Rudimental // Love Specs campaign was shot by the incredibly talented Zoe Lower who was assisted by Kavita Babbar, produced by Maegan Tillock. Filmed by Angus Lees and Tumaini Foster-Singh and managed by Kirsty Hobson, Molly Smitten-Downes and Katie Bill. The entire team worked endlessly at their own expense to make this incredible project happen.
