Dogshow

There is something quite unconventional and unique about DOGSHOW. Two OXFORD brothers and a RUSSIAN professor based in an octagonal-shaped club in LIVERPOOL. Not one to conform, or even stop to figure out who they sound like, their music is a well-travelled sound that introduces a multitude of ethnic influences.

“AN ACID INDUCED STROLL DOWN A VICTORIAN SEASIDE PROMENADE. THEY'LL RUIN YOUR MIND, BUT IN A GOOD WAY.” – Time Out

Their shows feature analogue synths, a drum kit raised on stilts and a collection of home made lighting fixtures, combing to create a visceral audio-visual experience. Non-musical influences such as art, mechanical instruments and a homemade projection system called the GABBATRON also feature in their performance.

“DOGSHOW COULD FUCK THIS COUNTRY UP.” – The Fly

DOGSHOW have supported the likes of HOT CHIP, KISSY SELL OUT, FRIENDLY FIRES and FAITHLESS amongst others, and their UK festival appearances have seen them play to sold out crowds at GLASTONBURY, GLADE, THE BIG CHILL and SHAMBALA. They toured the land in the summer of 2007 under the guise of the TECHNO CIRCUS and completed a brief but successful North American tour in September 2008 with shows in NEW YORK CITY and CANADA.

"DOGSHOW ARE A DUO WITH DRUMS AND ORGAN PACING OUT THE WORLD OF DANCE IN THEIR OWN EDIFICE OF SPACE-AGE KITSCH AND WERE THE BEST BAND WE SAW ALL WEEKEND. " - Clash Magazine (on seeing DOGSHOW at Glastonbury)

SUMMER 2009 saw them tour the land once again playing numerous UK festivals both on their own and as part of the infamous KAZIMIER TRAVELLING BAND.
