Without a doubt, Reading & Leeds Festivals offer fans the opportunity to see some of the biggest bands in the world including UK exclusive festival performances from headliners Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Eminem. Taking place between Friday 23rd and Sunday 25th August, the festivals showcase almost 300 artists across the bank holiday weekend.

But when goCarShare launched their Sessions, they decided to go to the other extreme - creating intimate gigs with extraordinary up and coming bands. Whether it is ‘northern Del Boys’ Likely Lads playing an unplugged session in the pub on the way to Leeds, Scottish singer songwriter Rachel Sermanni playing a beautiful in-car set on the way to Reading, or youngsters Park Bench Society jamming en route to Reading, it’s all about intimate encounters.

Following a successful pilot, the goCarShare team’s Sessions are back with new, fresh talent all due to play the BBC Introducing Stages. This year looks set to include:

Peasant's King, a welsh five-piece with a powerful anthemic style and more than a hint of Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend.

Man Can't Fly, think intoxicating melodies, addictive choruses fused by three piece harmonies.

Modo Stare - an electronic/alternative hybrid project headed by Jon Headley (musician, writer and producer) from Bradford.

Look out for the bands at the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals and for the new goCarShare Sessions due to be released on 28th August.

goCarShare partners with over 100 festivals and events around the UK, helping people to save money and reduce their carbon footprint when travelling to and from the festival with like-minded, friendly folk.

goCarShare will be operating priority car parks at Reading and Leeds festivals - with a pair of tickets being offered to Reading and Leeds 2014 for a lucky festival-goer who car shares to each festival.

Reading Festival is now sold out across all early entry, day and weekend tickets. There are limited day and weekend tickets left for Leeds Festival.
