Leicester is set to enjoy a brand new annual music event next year as One Big Day Out makes its debut at De Montfort Hall Gardens on May Bank Holiday, Saturday 30th April. The event will be headlined by The Brand New Heavies and tickets are on sale now priced at just £20, which includes free entry to the after-party hosted by Radio 6 DJ Don Letts at the O2 Academy.

 Leicester’s De Montfort Hall Gardens creates a perfect back drop for a great day out packed with headline acts, stalls, good food and beer.

One Big Day Out provides the sound track of funk and soul, jazz, reggae and ska.

Headlining they welcome Brand New Heavies, pioneers of the London jazz scene and a British music institution. Their unique mix of jazz, funk and soul has lit up the music scene for the last two decades, supported by The Neville Staple Band, Stone Foundation, New Street Adventure, The Paradimes, Johnny and The Good Time Boys and The Funk Soul Collective. Official after party at the O2 academy.

The After Party (10.30pm - late), hosted by Don Letts, will be held at the O2 Academy, Leicester.
