The Killers return to London next month for a special one-off show in celebration of the release of their new album, Direct Hits. The band, will celebrate a decade together with a night at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith (formerly the Hammersmith Apollo) on Wednesday November 6th.
In order to be first in the queue to buy tickets for this intimate show, fans who pre-order Direct Hits here before noon on Monday (Oct 28th) will be issued with a unique code that will give them access to the exclusive ticket pre-sale window (fans that have already pre-ordered the album through the same store will also be issued with a code).
Tickets then go on sale to code holders at 10am on Wednesday 30th (NB having a code will not guarantee you tickets - you’ll still need to be quick!). Members of The Killers’ fanclub, The Victims, will have their own pre-sale window ahead of the code holders’ pre-sale, and general sale of any remaining tickets will start at 10am on Thursday 31st October.
Tickets will be limited to two per customer, with all tickets priced at £45.
Direct Hits, released on November 11th, is a collection of singles from the band’s four albums, plus two brand new songs. The album begins with the band’s breakthrough hit - and first song they wrote together - Mr Brightside. It follows the group from debut album Hot Fuss and its further singles, Somebody Told Me, Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things That I’ve Done, through Sam’s Town’s When You Were Young, Read My Mind and For Reasons Unknown, via Day & Age’s singles, including massive 2008 hit, Human, and last year’s stunning Battle Born album singles, kicking off with Runaways. A brace of brand new songs completes the set: Shot At The Night was recorded with M83’s Anthony Gonzalez, and is out as a single on November 4th. Just Another Girl, meanwhile, was produced by long time Killers collaborator Stuart Price.
The deluxe edition of Direct Hits will additionally feature the original demo of Mr Brightside and a new remix of When You Were Young by Calvin Harris, as well as Battle Born’s Be Still, while a newly-announced Jackpot Deluxe version also includes an exclusive collection of 5x10” vinyl singles, with everything housed in a deluxe hardback book.
