Organisers behind the music holiday brand Snowboxx, which took place in Andorra in March, have been celebrating the success of the brand's inaugural year. 1,000 tickets sold out a staggering ten weeks in advance of the event proving that customers are demanding more from their holiday experience.

At a time when many are feeling the pinch in the current economic climate and with the UK recovering from a double dip recession, Snowboxx clearly demonstrated the demand for an experience that allowed customers to combine some of the favourite past times.  Part ski and snowboard holiday, part music festival, Snowboxx is the new breed of music holiday for the 21st century traveller. As well as outstanding skiing and snowboarding conditions , Snowboxx also boasted a music line-up that featured acts as diverse as Roses Gabor, The Other Tribe, Pedestrian, Brandon Block, Ian Redman and Mighty Mouse among many others. Snowboxx 2014 will launch soon with tickets and further information available from the official website.

In a week of amazing experiences, the highlight proved to be the main event on the Panoramix Terrace at the top of the mountain, a high altitude stage set to the backdrop of Andorra's finest slopes.  Accessible only by a late night gondola the stage played host to 1,000 revellers who bore witness to a breathtaking display of breakthrough talent, with heavy snowfall only adding to the electric atmosphere.  The event was capped off by a torchlit display by the ski instructors who lit up the mountain. Snowboxx boasted a plethora of activities designed to keep the party going including DJs performing directly in the snow parks as well as a packed schedule of DJs across the resorts bars and clubs.  After the success of Snowboxx this year, the sophomore year promises to be even bigger with more artists, more activities and bigger parties throughout the week.

Aden Levin, co-founder of Mainstage Travel, the company behind Snowboxx commented: "We have been absolutely blown away by the support we've received around Snowboxx this year, which has really confirmed that people are looking for more than the standard holiday experience nowadays. We pride ourselves on being able to offer both first time travellers and experienced travellers with an affordable way to combine their main loves.  The traditional holiday experience is over, long live the music holiday."

And this is just the start of what is set to become a phenomenon in alternative travel. Next year's Snowboxx will transport double the number of customers, increasing from the sold out 1,000 places in 2013 to 2,000 places in 2014.  If that wasn't enough, Snowboxx organisers have committed to booking a line-up that is an eye-watering 40 times bigger than this year's despite keeping ticket prices at the same level.
