That excellent British festival institution that is Off The Tracks returns for its thirty first anniversary 30th August – 1st September 2019.

Our FFA Reviewers simply adore OTT as a wonderful end-of-festival-season mud-free tonic. Take a look at the FFA Off The Tracks 2018 Review for just a hint of what goes down as this most venerable of festivals.  More House Party than festival, the event is held at Donington Park Farm House in Derbyshire. The farm is heavily diversified, and the festival is held in farm buildings centred around the old farmyard. But here’s the rub. Those same farm buildings host a permanent pub and diner, concert rooms, and other 21st century delights! Apart from OTT the venue hosts weddings and conferences, etc, throughout the year.  Its all rather special. Better still, the campsite is a permanent year-round camping facility! So, proper brick build facilities, hardstanding and all the creature comforts one would expect.

The festival itself is held in various buildings around the farmyard (all under cover!), with four stages, and loads of sessions and happenings in the pub itself. Expect a real ale festival, healing zone in the fields, enough stalls, plenty for the kids, …oh, and some terrific bands. This year Ferocious Dog, The Neville Staple Band, and Three Daft Monkeys headline, but there is real quality across all the stages. Expect midnight live music sessions, a great silent disco and a brilliant late-night scene.

But all the above is only the mechanics of the thing. OTT is all about the people. There is a wonderful vibe to the weekend. Its an old school festival experience with all the creature comforts. One of the most friendly festival crowds on the circuit, and an absolutely cracking atmosphere.

Some tickets, priced at a bargain £85 for the weekend (including Friday & Saturday camping), are still available. FFA will once again be Making Merry around the patch – why not join us – it’s an excellent weekend.
