Camp Bestival 2018 Preview

This summer why not get on board the good ship HMS Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle, Dorset and set sail for a boat load of entertainment for all the family. Returning for its 11th year the stellar musical line-up is guaranteed to satisfy all age groups with headlines from Simple Minds, Rick Astley and Clean Bandit. If that doesn’t get you excited they are joined by Orbital, Basement Jaxx (DJ), Sara Cox presents Just Can’t Get Enough 80, Shed Seven, Declan McKenna, Dodie, The Skatalites, Jaguar Skills, Stereo MCs, The Undertones, Pop Will Eat Itself and many more.

As you would expect from a festival bought to you by Rob Da Bank Camp Bestival has a huge DJ line-up that can be found in every corner of the festival site. Whether its big names like David Rodigan and Huey Morgan playing in Bollywood or DJ BBQ and The BBQ Zoo Crew serving up tunes and burgers in The Upper Kids Field with the Feast Collective, there is always an opportunity to dance, with music around every corner.

Kids are the heart of Camp Bestival with an entertainment line-up that easily rivals the musical line-up, we all know that if the kids are happy then everyone is happy. Returning again are Camp Bestival favourites Mr Tumble, Dick and Dom and Mr Maker and joining them are Peppa Pig, Peter Rabbit and Paddington to name a few. In addition to the big names there are plenty of activities to be found in the Upper Kids Garden with BigTopMania and the Toddler Area. The Lower Kids Garden is packed full of entertainment for the slightly older kids with the Insect Circus, Make Space and The Greatest Tent on Earth. All around the site are things to keep your children entertained with The Worlds Biggest Bouncy Castle, Dingly Dell, the Wall of Death and HMS Camp Bestival hosted by The Blue Coats.

If that wasn’t enough there are authors, talks and poets in The Guardian Literary Tent; Massages, Yoga and hair braiding in Slow Motion and Comedy including Sean Lock and Dave Johns. The list goes on, visit the Camp Bestival website for all the details.

Camp Bestival takes place from Thursday 26th - Sunday 29th July
