The wonderful Beardy Folk Festival returns to the Shropshire fields 16th-19th June 2022, and it promises to be yet another cracker! The festival is a firm FFA favourite, and our Reviewers simply love the Beardy vibe. Just read what FFA thought of the excellent 2021 bash in our Beardy Folk Festival 2021 Review.

Yes, its that good!!! One of the best organised, relaxed folk festivals on the UK scene, this little gem of an event simply has it all. A brilliant atmosphere, a magical location in around the old Victorian Walled Garden of the lovely Hopton Court, spotless and plentiful facilities, a great crowd, and a thumping programme of folk, roots, blues, and whatever else may take your fancy. Remember that Beardy was one of the few mainstream festivals to successfully navigate each year of the Pandemic, delivering a fully compliant, safe, and welcoming event each year in the worst of times. A significant achievement. Those still a tad apprehensive about attending organised events, can rest assured that Beardy will treat you right and provide you with a wonderful weekend.

This year’s line-up features acts of the calibre of The Young’Uns, Edward II, The Magpie Arc, Martin Simpson, and a very welcome return of the superb Gary Stewart’s  Graceland. With a couple of stages, the music runs back-to-back throughout the day. Apart from the headliners, Beardy is one of those special events where you are likely to stumble across a new favourite anywhere on the bill; the standard of performance is that universally high. Apart from the music, the festival offers high quality food and drink (at pub prices!), and a good selection of Workshops, Yoga and Wellbeing, and Circus & Woodland activities – there is never a dull moment.

Why not join our FFA Reviewers at this year’s shenanigans? We’ll be the ones grinning from ear-to-ear!  Check out late availability HERE.
