Sell-out Bearded Theory festival returns to Catton Park in Derbyshire on Thursday 24th May 2018 for their 11th annual frolic in the fields.

Consistently rated by Festivals For All reviewers as one of the best events on the circuit, and arguably THE benchmark small-medium festival in the UK, our guys simply love it. Just take a lookie-see at the FFA Bearded Theory 2017 Review for just a flavour of exactly what Bearded has to offer. https://www.festivalsforall.com/article/bearded-theory-2017-review

It’s no wonder those in the know have already ensured Bearded 2018 is a sell-out. Offering fantastic value as a full four day festival event, and (shout the news!) one of the few remaining mainstream festivals to allow punters to take their own alcohol into the areas, Bearded consistently pulls in a line-up many other events would simply die for. 2018 is no exception with the likes of Robert Plant, Blossoms, Sleaford Mods, Jimmy Cliff, Jake Bugg, Fun Lovin Criminals, Idles, Show Of Hands, UK Subs, Jesus Jones, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Coral, Random Hand, Tide Lines, Kerri Watt, Sleeper, and Therapy amongst the 250+ acts appearing across Bearded’s six main stages over the weekend. There is nothing ‘single-genre’ about Bearded; whatever your musical tastes there genuinely is something for everyone in those Derbyshire fields.

A festival is nothing without its community, and the crowd at Bearded rightly make the event. The vibe is the thing – and it’s a wonderful scene. Catton Park is an excellent location and the musical offering is just one facet of the multi-media extravaganza Bearded offers up. There’s a packed comedy offering for starters, loads of pop-up happenings and creative site art, healing and chill-out zones, plus the oodles of stuff for the kids and younger teens. The excellent Bearded School is rightly feted as one of the most imaginative schemes on the festival landscape. (Read all about it HERE.) The bar scenes and the huge array of beers and ciders are famous at Bearded, and although the arenas are a BYO zone – please do support the bars too!

One of the many things FFA love about Bearded Theory is that the organizers genuinely act upon feedback from previous years – thus the event continues to grow and flourish. This year will witness an even greener recycling policy, improved camping and facilities, a gin bar in the Woodlands (Yes!), and a host of other improvements too. Bearded excels but continues to push the boundaries – FFA salutes you!

It all kicks off on the 24th May – see ya there.
