Standon Calling is set in the gorgeous grounds of a stately home in Hertfordshire, the festival is independent, intimate and consistently innovative.
Standon Calling is about much more than just the music and they’re keen to support interesting artists of all ilks, be they painters, sculptors, writers, actors, comedians or even chefs. A different theme takes over the event each year, reflected in the interactive theatre, art installations, set designs, and outrageous outfits their guests dream up.
Artists who have appeared at Standon Calling over the years include: Madness, Anne Marie, Loyle Carner, Primal Scream, Rag'n'Bone Man, Wolf Alice, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Paloma Faith, George Ezra, Bryan Ferry, Orbital, Clean Bandit, Grace Jones, Little Dragon, The Dandy Warhols, Basement Jaxx, Frank Turner, Maximo Park and Public Enemy.
They’re pretty sure we’re the only UK festival to feature a swimming pool and their guests make enthusiastic use of that too. They know the people that come to Standon are special so they make an effort to make them feel appreciated. They also like to keep our fields clean and green. Aside from only working with caterers that care about their refuse, they also employ an on-site environmental army to recycle as much as possible and ensure that nothing stays on site that shouldn’t after the event.
Situated just 40 minutes away from London, 2023 promises to be their best and most innovative party yet. They’d love it if you can join them.
