James Morrison has announced an open-air date in Northampton next year as part of the Alive at Delapre Park series of gigs taking place in July 2013.With his unique, rootsy soul sound, James is established as one of the UK’s most respected singer-songwriters. His first two albums ‘Undiscovered’ and ‘Songs for You, Truths for Me’ has sold a total of 4.5m copies and yielded ten singles including ‘You give me something’, ‘Wonderful World’ and ‘Broken Strings’ featuring Nelly Furtado.His acclaimed third album ‘Awakening’ features classic but contemporary folk-soul songs.

James Morrison has sold out arena tours and gigged across the world. Born in Rugby, he said he is "looking forward to playing Delapre Park, which promises to be a special gig in the heart of the town.” 

Brit ‘best male’ award winner Morrison will close the Alive at Delapre Park three-day event with his Sunday night gig.

Councillor David Mackintosh, Leader of Northampton Borough Council, welcomed the announcement that James Morrison will play Alive@Delapre on Sunday 21 July 2013.

His style is totally different from Paul Weller and he is well known for his great live performances. I know that with such major names now booked to perform in the beautiful setting of Delapre Park, we will appeal to a broad audience and will put Alive@Delapre on the map as one of the major events of our 2013 calendar.”
