The Isle of Wight Festival revealed details of the 6 winners of the unsigned competiition.  The 2,000 entrants were whittled down to 12 finalists who, battled it out for a chance to win one of six slots to perform across the Festival site. Fans packed into The Halfmoon Pub, Putney, as the finalists took to the stage. The judges had a raft of talent to choose from and after much debate the 6 winners were chosen to perform at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.

And the winners are…performing on the Main Stage will be Tank Trap from Gravesend, the Big Top slot was given to Crystal Seagulls, who the panel chose as the overall winners and were also awarded the special prize of a recording session at Power Studios in London with acclaimed producer Benny D.  Appearing on The Bandstand will be Louise Golbey and over in The Hipshaker Lounge, funk artist CHIDI will be getting the crowds moving. The Cabaret Club is in the very capable hands of Cable Street Collective and don’t miss XOVA performing on the Life’s a Beach stage.

Making the decision was a host of music industry professionals including, Steve Harley from Cockney Rebel, Brit Award Producer nominee Jim Duguid, Paul Stokes, Associate Editor (Digital) at Q Magazine, Andy Bush of Absolute Radio and the Festival promoter, John Giddings.

John Giddings, the Festival promoter, says: 'The Isle of Wight Festival Unsigned final was a great night and choosing the winners from so many talented new artists was not an easy task, but in the end the best 6 acts were selected to play at this year’s Festival. We want to thank all the musicians who entered and the finalists, the standard was exceptional. It’s fantastic to be able to give unsigned artists the chance to play at the Isle of Wight Festival in front of our amazing crowd. Who knows maybe one day they'll be performing further up the bill!'
