Green Gathering 2015 Overview

The Green Gathering returns to its picturesque site near Chepstow in Wales. Landscaped grounds high above the Wye Valley offer stunning views of the Severn estuary and bridges; the ruins of neoclassical Piercefield House provide an atmospheric backdrop; and the rolling parkland of the site, encircled by woods, has ample space for camping.

The counter culture - live. Thousands of people living without fossil fuels for 4 days in surprising comfort with a plethora of music, speakers, poets, craftsmen and craftswomen. Kids and Teen zones, 10 and under free, cafes, stalls, fields, love and green life.

Music-wise, discover up and coming bands as well as old festival favourites. Swing, funk, folk, punk, dance, disco, ska, klezmer, reggae, indie, acid-rock and northern soul; you’d be hard pushed to avoid dancing like a wild thing most nights if you’re that way inclined. The Green Gathering’s own West Country cider and ale bar provides tipples to whet your whistle, although unlike at many festivals, there’s no ban on bringing your own favourite beverages onto site.

Away from the music stages there’ll be opportunities to learn traditional skills in their Craft area and to explore pathways to green futures with Permaculture and Transition groups. Veteran activists will be on hand to share information and tactics with you in the Campaigns field, while in the Speakers’ Forum, experts and mavericks present a huge range of topics for debate.
