Wille And The Bandits have taken a break from their hectic touring schedule to help flood victims at home. The three-piece, who’ve gigged across Europe with legends like Status Quo, Deep Purple and Joe Bonamassa and number radio presenter Zoe Ball among their celebrity fans, are warming up for a series of summer festival dates.

But after witnessing damage caused by tidal surges, including their local beachfront café smashed to pieces and the main rail route into Cornwall cut off by wave damage at Dawlish, the band opted to record and release the aptly-titled ‘Trouble Down The Line’ in aid of local communities.

Frontman Wille, who lives with his wife Anna at the heart of the affected area in Seaton, Cornwall, says he and bandmates Andrew Naumann and Matthew Brooks wanted to give something back to the places where they cut their musical teeth.

Wille said: “We were all really shocked by the damage and there’s loads of people talking about what should have been done and what needs to be done, but we thought we could do something now.

“We’ve played in so many of the places that are now finding themselves affected. We can't build flood defences or dredge rivers, but we can show solidarity and support and raise money so the communities and the people in them can focus on the recovery.” Pre-orders are now being taken for the single, which is priced 99p and released via iTunes on March 8.
