Wath Festival 2018 Overview

Wath Festival 2018 is South Yorkshire’s biggest festival of music and dance and was established in 1972 by the people of Wath for their community.

The festival takes place each year in the heart of Wath-Upon-Dearne on May Day bank holiday weekend. Over the years the event has gained recognition for being the friendliest festival in the region.

Concerts are held at various venues around the village including Montgomery Hall - their main venue where the afternoon and evening concerts take place; and Montgomery Square in the centre of the town where the majority of the community events take place.

Every Mayday weekend Wath comes alive for 4 days of song, dance & community events. From Montgomery Hall to The Green & the Town Square there are plenty of free events for all ages as well as ticketed evening and afternoon concerts. Not to mention the legendary "Bun Throwing" from the Church roof top.

In addition to the music concerts, Wath Festival aims to provide events for all the community to enjoy whatever their age.
