80's Rewind Festival 2013 Overview
The 80's Rewind Festivall is now in its forth year - it celebrates the music of the 80's and attracts some of the biggest names from the period. There are a wide range of non music related attractions to keep the enjoyment levels high throughout the weekend.
Artists booked to appear include Kim Wilde, The B-52's, Billy Ocean, Heaven 17, ABC, The Pointer Sisters, Paul Carrack, and Belinda Carlisle.
80's Rewind Festival 2013 Event Info
The festival is dedicated to creating a pleasant experience for those camping at the festival. The campsite is situated in a beautiful setting in the meadows beside the River Thames and will be stewarded 24 hours a day, with showers and toilets throughout.
Unfortunately, for safety reasons, barbeques, naked flames etc. are not allowed in the campsite.
You can welcome to bring camping stoves, but please follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do not use inside tents.The campsite opens at 2.00pm on Friday (Aug 19th) and closes at midday on Monday (Aug 22nd). If arriving on the Friday evening, last entry will be at 10pm.
On Saturday and Sunday evenings, whilst the band changeover is going on, they'll be using the Lucky Voice Home System, Big Screens and PA system to lead the world's biggest 80s sing-a-long!
Fireworks -On Saturday and Sunday nights as the music on the Main Stage finishes, a Fantastic Firework finale will light up the night sky, marking the end of the fun in the arena.
Friday Night Welcome Party - If you have a weekend or weekend camping ticket, don't forget the Friday night fun! The party area opens at 6.00pm with The Silent Disco, Live Karaoke, Live Music, Kidzone as well as the Theme Bars, Food Outlets and Traders.
Funfair - From dodgems to thrill rides, the funfair will be popular with thrill seekers of all ages and a great way to get a view of the Festival site while enjoying a fun ride.
Groovy Movie Picture House - The world's first solar powered cinema will be making its Rewind debut this year. the Groovy Movie Picture House is a unique multimedia venue, a world away from your local multiplex. The Picture House is powered entirely by a large array of solar panels, turning sunshine into entertainment! From classic 80s blockbusters to independent films and comedy shorts, there'll be something for everyone, do son't forget to stop off and kick back with a flick in their comfortable, cosy cinema.
Kidzone - Housed in its own Big Top, there's loads of activities to keep them occupied including circus workshops, and walkabout entertainment such as stilt walkers, magic and balloon bending!
Live Karaoke Stage - Brush up on your singing skills - this is your chance to appear on stage with a professional band and sing to your favourite 80's songs! No tacky machines or backing tracks in sight, instead a full five piece band, light show, and professional sound system. Fantastic fun whether you decide to take to the mic yourself or watch from a safe distance!
Music on the Riverbank - Throughout the various bars you will find some fantastic musicians performing al fresco to keep you entertained.
Silent Disco - A truly fun, innovative and highly entertaining way to party! They provide everyone with a set of headphones and have two DJs spinning the tunes simultaneously on two separate channels, leaving you to flick between them and listen to the music you want to throw your best shapes to!
Street Entertainers - Look out for a few surprises and a lot of talent with the selection of street entertainers performing at Rewind.

From M4 Junction 8/9
Take the A404(M) towards “Henley and Marlow”. Leave the A404(M) at the second junction signposted “Henley and A4130”. Turn left at the give way and go straight over the roundabout, again signposted ‘Henley’.
From M40 Junction 4
Take the A404(M) towards ‘Marlow’. At the first roundabout go straight over signposted “Henley and Maidenhead”. Take the next junction signposted “Henley and A4130”. Turn right at roundabout signposted Henley onto the A4130.
From Henley Town Centre
Go over the Henley bridge towards Maidenhead and go up the hill on the A4130. Henley can become very congested and we strongly recommend avoiding this route.
A ONE WAY SYSTEM WILL OPERATE IN AND AROUND THE FESTIVAL SITE, PLEASE FOLLOW FESTIVAL SIGNS FROM THE A4130.
The Nearest train station is in Henley-on-Thames, which is situated approximately 1.5 miles from the festival site. The walk from here is lovely, taking you along the riverbank.
Buses run to Henley-on-Thames from Reading, High Wycombe, Wallingford, Watlington and Maidenhead.
Hobbs of Henley will be operating a boat shuttle service from the town to the festival site.
