For those that don't see the joy of camping in a field, exposed to the whims of the British weather to get your festival fix, why not try one of the growing number of 'Metropolitan' Festivals. You can enjoy artists performing in purpose built buildings, ability to buy food as you walk down the street, and in my case, a better chance of getting a decent Guinness, together with the knowledge that your bed awaits you at the end of the day.

With the costs of artists increasing, coupled with the additional burdens of Health & Safety and increasingly stringent licencing requirements its easy to see why the cost of festivals has increased significantly in recent years. The good news is that there are still great greenfield festivals for under a £100 and that includes camping!
