After many months of searching for three acts to take part in the Wath Festival Young Performers Award 2012, we're pleased to announce the finalists:

Sunjay Brayne, 18 from West Midlands
Anna Rice, 22 from Brighton
(accompanied by vocalists Annie Spayne, 22 and Emily Wright, 21)
Andrew Frost, 21 from Sheffield

Wath Festival and The Partnership Media would like to thank all who applied this year. We spent many days enjoying listening to everyone's submissions.

The finals concert will take place on Sunday 6th May, from 4pm in the upstairs function room of the Red Lion on High Street (see programme for full details) and only one act will take away the first prize of the main stage performance that night, a booking at the 2013 festival, a cash prize, trophy and a photoshoot with Charlie Barker Photography.

The finalists will be performing to an audience and judging panel of industry professionals including folk music broadcaster, Dave Eyre from Sheffield Live's 'Thank Goodness it's Folk' show and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Horizon Winner, Lucy Ward.
