Joan Armatrading and Stornoway are the latest headline acts to be announced for the 51st Towersey Festival, taking place between Friday 28th to Monday 31st August 2015. They join fellow headliners Bellowhead and Show Of Hands on the bill at the ever popular Oxfordshire festival.

Other names added to the expanded festival line-up include multi-award nominated duo Chris While and Julie Matthews, BBC Horizon artist Kizzy Crawford, Lisbee Stainton, and Luke Daniels.

“We’ve very pleased to be adding Joan Armatrading and Stornoway to an already great Towersey bill,” says Festival Director Joe Heap. “Joan is a phenomenal singer-songwriter whose work spans pop, jazz, blues and acoustic, while Stornoway are one of the biggest, and most original, bands to come out of Oxfordshire over the last decade.

“They’re both great additions to a four-day festival line-up that features some of the best acoustic acts from across the UK and further afield. After our Golden Jubilee last year, 2015’s festival is already shaping up to be one of our best ever!”

Taking place at Thame Showground, near Towersey, in Oxfordshire over the Summer Bank Holiday, the event also features a dedicated Children’s Festival, activities aimed at young people, a Real Ale Festival, film screenings, workshops, street theatre, stalls, dance, street food vendors and more.
