Stockton Weekender taking place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July at Stockton Riverside Park, County Durham have confirmed more acts for the line-up. The Urban Voodoo Machine will headline The Wunderbar Tent on Saturday 26th, also confirmed are comedy improve troupe The Suggestibles. Also performing on the Saturday are genre mashing band Dinnernanny, Little Mirrors and Joe Solo.

Sunday night in the tent will see comedy behemoth Lee Nelson top the bill alongside The Gimme Gimmicks, former The Christians and Yachts singer-songwriter Henry Priestman and Paul Liddell. Further acts are to still to be announced for both days.


As in previous years there will also be some free entertainment, taking place at The Georgian Theatre. The venue will host the Sonic Union Stage; an extension of a series of gigs presented by Weekender organisers Tees Music Alliance. The stage will be headlined by Newcastle’s freewheeling electric rock & rollers The Dead Indians, alongside Cellar Door, High Tide 15:47, Kobadelta, Fleckt Pets and The Gares. 


These names add to the ever growing line up that features Happy Mondays, Shed Seven, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Hyde & Beast, Laurel, New Electric Ride, Lilliput, Weird Shapes, The Purnells, Goy Boy McIlroy and Silver Trees on Saturday 26th, and Public Enemy, Reverend & The Makers, Peter Hook & The Light, Smoove & Turrell, The Amazing Snakeheads, Red Kite, Dark Bells, Gallery Circus, PALACE, The Sons of Bido Lito, By Toutatis, The Panoramic and Serinette on Sunday 27th July.


Day tickets are now on sale priced at £30 and weekend ticket prices are £45. However, for Stockton Borough residents prices will be sliced by 20%. Festivalgoers just need to provide their postcode when booking to access the offer, and bring proof of their address on the day.


The family friendly event, which offers a children’s activity tent and is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, will once more offer two free Under 14 tickets for every adult ticket purchased, and camping is also available at an additional cost of £30 on top of a Weekend ticket price.


From 1st to 31st May day tickets will be priced Day: £30.00 Weekend: £45

Camping: £75.00. Ticket prices will increase in price from 1st June onwards. Each adult ticket entitles the holder to 2 free Under 14s tickets.
