The Shrewsbury Folk Festival has awarded the bar contract for its 2015 August Bank Holiday event to The Moongazing Hare from Worcester.

The Moongazing Hare are renowned festival specialists who already deliver the bar service at Warwick and Bromyard Folk Festivals amongst others. They are covering all four bars at the 2015 Folk Festival which saw 7000 visitors per day attend this year.

Nigel Smith, director of The Moongazing Hare says: “The Shrewsbury Folk Festival is one of the largest and most popular such events in the country, so we are delighted to have secured the work. As a business this is a natural forward step, as we already cover a number of festivals and are keen to further grow this aspect of our work. We focus on locally sourced ales and providing the best trained staff to attend, so as a team we are especially pleased that these elements have been recognized.”

Alan and Sandra Surtees run the Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Commenting on the appointment of The Moongazing Hare, Sandra said: “We knew we were in safe hands the moment we appointed Nigel Smith and the Moongazing Hare team as our bar provider. Alan and I have spent many happy hours, at various festivals, enjoying the ambience and superb ale that only Nigel can provide. Our discerning festival goers will be absolutely delighted to hear of this of appointment…roll on August.”

The Shrewsbury Folk Festival takes place 28, 29, 30, 31 August 2015 at the West Midlands Showground in Shrewsbury.
